The following gives an overview of activities during the past few years:
2020
Layla Moran, the LibDem MP for Oxford West and Abingdon, visited Pontypridd to meet some of the local businesses who’d been badly affected by the terrible floods during February of that year.
Commencement of meetings via Zoom begins thereafter as Covid-19 restrictions kick in, and when restrictions are eventually lifted campaigning begins again……
2021
Senedd elections take place in May and we stand three candidates for RCT:
Steven Rajam in Pontypridd, Jackie Charlton in the Rhondda and Gerald Francis in the Cynon Valley.
Although difficult, campaigning took place as best as possible, ensuring Governmental restrictions were adhered to at all times.
And to help towards funds, we ran (amongst others) our very successful online “Name the Bear” competition, raising £205 in total.
2022
The year began with the lead up to the May Local Elections, at which we stood a total of six candidates within R.C.T, the most successful of which was Steven Rajam, who came within 28 votes of being elected in Pontyclun East.
This was also the year in which we gained a new Liberal Democrat Community Councillor for Llanharan, when Neil Feist stepped up to the challenge.
Campaigning also continued in earnest throughout the latter part of the year, to build awareness of local issues and to maximise on our local election results.
And in December we headed to the Pontyclun Christmas Fayre to chat to stall holders and make ourselves known.

2023
In preparation for the likely General Election next year, we sourced two candidates for the two R.C.T constituencies, Pontypridd and The Rhondda – our two candidates being David Mathias for Pontypridd and, for The Rhondda, Gerald Francis.
David Mathias - our candidate for Pontypridd
Gerald Francis - our candidate for The Rhondda
We also had two key socials, one at the Rhondda Heritage Park and the other, a Forestry Walk and Talk, in the Ynysangharad Park in Pontypridd.
And as a part of our continued campaigning, we delivered 2,000 leaflets within Llanharan
